Explore one of the best Places for diving in the World

Although the Maldives are known for white sandy beaches and turquoise waters, most of the paradise’s beauty lies beneath the surface. Amazing coral reefs and the abundance of marine life across the country makes the Maldives one of the world’s best scuba diving destination.

Dive into the warm waters of the Maldives to encounter Manta Rays and Whalesharks all year round. Apart from seeing these gentle giants, diving in the Maldives has a lot more to offer: grey reef, whitetip, nurse, thresher, hammerhead, and even tiger sharks. But also more than 1200 species of exotic fishes, like barracuda, tuna, napoleon, turtles, parrotfish, a variety of moray eels, lionfish, and so on.

Where to dive?

Every Atoll in the Maldives is different, which allows divers of all experience levels to explore the underwater world. Depending on the type of diver you are and which your budget is, there’s a perfect place for you. We can help you finding the right Island or Liveaboard based on your requirements.

Diving on Liveaboards:

If the main reason for your trip to the Maldives is diving, then a liveaboard is the perfect choice for you. You can choose between different routes which go mostly through the central atolls: North Malé, South Malé, Vaavu, and Ari Atoll. Routes to the North and South of the Maldives are also available. Typically a liveaboard trip lasts for 7 nights and you do up to 4 dives per day.

Diving on Resort Islands:

If diving isn’t the main focus for your trip to the Maldives, you can choose a Resort Island for your Holiday. It is probably the most convenient but also the most expensive option.

Diving on Local Islands:

If you are on a tight budget, diving from a local island is the cheapest option. In addition to that, you are able to see the life of the local people.

When to dive?

You can dive in the Maldives all year round, but the best time is considered from December until April. Within these months the chances of less rain, flat sea and amazing visibility are the best. The prices at this time of the year are significantly higher compared to the rest of the year. Visibility is ranging from 15 to stunning 50 meters and the water temperature is all year round tropical warm (between 27-30 degrees).
